Why do virtually all law and accountancy firms look and sound the same? You know the clichés – exceptional client service, City office, partner-led etc etc. Any good marketer knows the answer is to differentiate – show how your firm is different from the competition and you will stand out. Prospects will buy why you are different and pay a premium; if you look the same as everyone else, they will simply buy on price. As evidence for this, a survey in 2016 by Hinge Marketing showed that those firms with the highest growth have 20% more differentiators than their competitors.
